I am a commercially minded finance professional, adept at embedding robust financial management and governance capability across organisations that assist businesses to realise their potential and ambitions.

I’m a qualified CIMA professional with over 15 years of experience gained in UK and international businesses. I add valuable CFO /FD support to property, construction, development, subcontractor and management businesses.

 

After spending time in property management organisations I delivered valuable controls and systems to ensure adequate guidance to achieve strategic goals. I was the UK FD of London & South for a listed European Group and successfully assist in growing the business through acquisition in the UK and Ireland. I assisted with restructuring the UK business into divisions to increase efficiency and consistency in delivery, and successfully delivering the business turnaround after European Parent collapsed.

 

Exiting this business following a Covid downsizing and consolidation, I took on the role of CFO for a SME property developer. Whilst transforming a start-up business into a SME, and securing a £100m institutional funding deal, I continued with building departments, rolling out ERP systems, developing and rolling out commercial processes, and controlling governance across the whole spectrum of the business.

All the duties of a traditional CFO/FD working remotely or on-site on a part-time basis

Having worked for Maritz in the earlier years of my career he was a great mentor from whom I learnt a great deal, from his technical knowledge in Finance to the detailed knowledge he has on the construction industry. Over the 10 years we worked together he provided great support in the changing environment of the business and was someone that we could depend on in difficult circumstances.
